Corn Team from IPB, ICropS, and IHNF is Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award Regional Winner

The Corn for Food and Nutrition Security Team, composed of Ms Ayn Kristina M. Beltran (UR I, IPB), Dr. Tonette P. Laude (Assoc. Prof. ICropS), Dr. Clarissa B. Juanico (Assoc. Prof, IHNF), Ms. Lorna G. Matanguihan (UEA I, IPB), and Mr. Marvin M.Obando (Administrative Aide, IPB) was recognized as the Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award Regional Winner (group category) in the 2023 Search for Outstanding Government Workers.

Director Hans R. Alcantara, Acting Director III of the Civil Service Commission National Capital Region, presented the award to the team last August 14, 2023 during the flag-raising ceremony in front of the Bienvenido M. Gonzales Hall (University Main Libraru) at the University of the Philippines Los Baños. The event was also attended by UPLB officials led by Chancellor Jose V. Camacho, Jr. Also present during the awarding ceremony were IPB Director Dr. Fe M. dela Cueva and CAFS Associate Dean for Research and Extension Dr. Lilia M. Fernando-Corpuz.

The Presidential Lingkod Bayan (PLB) award is awarded to individuals and groups with remarkable work performance and contributions which has left an impact on a national level.
